Private Land Conservation in Idaho
The mission of the Idaho Coalition of Land Trusts (ICOLT) is to support and advance professional excellence in voluntary private land conservation for people and nature.
ICOLT is a group of twenty separate nonprofit land trust organizations and two local and state government-sponsored programs working on private land conservation and voluntary conservation agreements throughout the state of Idaho.
Land trusts work with private landowners to obtain land protection agreements that maintain working farms, forests and ranches; preserve water quality; protect wildlife habitat; conserve natural areas and retain the values that make Idaho a wonderful place to live, work and recreate.
